The Role

We are looking for an experienced, adaptable, and highly organized Project Manager to lead our event production teams. In this role, you will be the crucial bridge between our clients' visions and our technical team's execution. You will oversee events from the initial pre-production planning stages in our Lanham office all the way through to on-site execution at venues across the country.

What You'll Do

• Lead Pre-Production: Collaborate with clients to conceptualize setups, develop comprehensive production timelines, and design logistical solutions for live events, including multi-room conferences and executive summits.
• Manage Gear & Logistics: Determine comprehensive technical requirements - ranging from PA systems, digital audio consoles, and wireless RF management to LED video walls, PTZ cameras, switching/routing, and intelligent lighting. Coordinate equipment prep, tracking, and national transportation logistics, including routing and scheduling our internal 7-vehicle fleet.
• Direct the Crew: Lead on-site AV technicians, stagehands, and production crews. Assign roles, manage call times, and ensure our teams meet RS MediaOne's high standard of excellence at both local and out-of-state venues.
• Own the On-Site Execution: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, venue managers, and talent during show days. Oversee load-in, setup, show-run, and strike while troubleshooting technical issues in real-time.
• Scope & Budget: Assist in scoping projects, generating accurate quotes, and managing vendor relationships and external freelance technicians.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 3-5+ years of project management experience in conference management, live event production, AV services, or a closely related field.
• Technical Chops: Strong working knowledge of commercial audiovisual systems, including digital audio mixing, video switching/routing (e.g., Barco, Blackmagic, Roland), projection, LED wall processing, theatrical/stage lighting, and staging/rigging basics.
• Travel & Logistics: Willingness to travel nationally to support clients' events. Experience managing load plans, freight logistics, and crew travel for out-of-state productions is essential.
• Venue Knowledge: Experience navigating diverse convention centers, major hotels, and large-scale event spaces nationwide, including familiarity with various union guidelines and complex loading dock procedures across different markets.
• Grace Under Pressure: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and lead effectively when last-minute changes occur during a live show.
• Communication: Excellent client-facing skills with a knack for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
